Anies and Buenos Aires Mayor Agreed on Several Cooperation Agreements

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan held a meeting with Buenos Aires Mayor, Horacio Rodriguez Larreta outside of his schedule to attend Urban 20 (U20) Summit. There are several cooperation agreement agreed in this bilateral meeting.

He mentioned, Buenos Aires is one of the most diverse cities in the American continent, similar to Jakarta.

"Buenos Aires is a multicultural city because immigrants from various parts of Argentina and the world came to this city during the last 150 years, and it becomes a melting pot," he stated through his official Facebook account, Friday (11/2).

He informed, around 3 million people live in Buenos Aires and another 10 million people live in surrounding metropolitan areas.

"Total 13 million people is equivalent to Jakarta population in afternoon," he added.

He mentioned to have a warm and friendly meeting with Horacio Rodriguez Larreta. The Mayor also explained many things about his city.

"We have agreed on cooperation between Jakarta and Buenos Aires in sports, cultures, social integration, settlements, investment, and financial," he explained.
